Electronic pop duo Peaking Lights are gearing up to release their latest EP Sea Of Sand via Dekmantel on October 15^th. This preview shares around a minute of each tune, with the whole thing “feeling more like a mini-LP, with a diverse mix of experimental beats and extended electronic pop dubs”. ‘Blind Corner’ is upbeat, while the contrastingly slow ‘Hypnotized’ and the krautrock-inspired ‘Shift Your Mind’ conclude the A-side. The B-side brings out the romantic ‘Read Your Mind’, the ambient ‘Noise Of Life’ and piano-fronted title track ‘Sea Of Sand’. This EP has already found its feet despite only existing in preview form, creating an innovative and nostalgic piece as their only 2018 release so far. -Dan Peeke
